Deep work on a narrow surface, rather than a menu of everything. Every project is architected and written by the same person you brief.
We find where AI actually pays for itself, then design the system around the model: retrieval, evaluation, cost, latency and the fallback for when it gets things wrong.
SaaS platforms, business applications and high-traffic APIs, built to stay maintainable long after launch, because most of a product’s life is what happens after launch.
Native iOS and Android applications, backed by APIs designed for the load they will actually see. Banking, video streaming, ordering and social apps already shipped.
No inflated numbers. This is one engineer’s verifiable history.
Who you will work with
I have spent twenty years building software that other people depend on, as a lead architect, as a CTO, and as the engineer on call when it broke. That work took me through Bucharest, San Francisco, Dublin and Berlin, across banking apps, streaming platforms, marketplaces and high-traffic APIs.
Wibiway is deliberately small: one engineer who scopes the work, designs it and writes it. What I bring to an AI project is not a prompt library. It is twenty years of knowing which part of a system will fail first, and building it so it doesn’t.

PHP / Laravel / Vue.js / PostgreSQL
A two-sided marketplace letting owners rent out parking spaces, with search, availability and payments.
Laravel / Vue.js / MySQL / Stripe
Applicant tracking and candidate matching for a recruitment business, designed to stay fast as the candidate pool grew.
PHP / NestJS / PostgreSQL / Docker
Metered access and subscription logic for an online newspaper, including the payment integrations behind it.
Symfony / React / MySQL
A clinical CRM for doctors, handling patient records and scheduling under strict data-integrity requirements.
Laravel / React / MySQL
An Instagram-style social app for a San Francisco start-up: a scalable in-house API on AWS, delivered with no API downtime. The team raised Seed and Series A.
AWS / MongoDB / Redis / CloudFront
Most engagements begin with a paid discovery phase that produces a plan you own, whether or not you build it with us.
Understand the business problem, the constraints and what success actually looks like.
Design the system, name the risks, estimate the cost. You get a technical plan you can act on.
Fixed-scope phases, working software at the end of each, no surprises in between.
Deploy, measure, and harden against the failure modes we identified up front.
Hand over documentation and stay reachable. Software is never finished on launch day.
Technologies we work with
The stack follows the problem. These are the tools we have taken to production repeatedly, not an exhaustive list.
We build AI features into production systems, and we are candid about where the expertise comes from: 20 years of designing the parts of an AI product that actually decide whether it works, namely retrieval, data modelling, evaluation, latency budgets, cost control and graceful fallbacks. The model is a dependency you call. The system around it is the engineering, and that is the part we have been doing since long before it had "AI" in the name.
George Dumitrescu. Wibiway is deliberately a one-person consultancy, so the person you scope the project with is the person who architects and writes it. For larger builds we assemble a trusted team, and we say so upfront.
Most start with a paid architecture review or a short discovery engagement: one to two weeks that produces a technical plan, a cost and risk assessment, and a decision you can act on with or without us. Delivery work follows from there in fixed-scope phases.
Most of the work is exactly that: adding AI features, untangling architecture or scaling APIs inside applications that already have users and revenue. Greenfield is the easy case.
Primarily PHP and Laravel, Symfony, Node.js, Java and Spring Boot on the backend; Vue and React on the frontend; PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB and Redis for data; Docker and AWS for delivery. Technology choice follows the problem, not the other way around.
Wibiway is registered in Ilfov, Romania, and works remotely with clients worldwide. Projects have shipped from Bucharest to Dublin, Berlin and San Francisco.
